Computer Science courses from Code.org have been added to Open Space. These include 222 lesson plans from the Computer Science Principles and AP Computer Science A courses.
Computer Science Principles for high school students
The curriculum for Computer Science Principles requires no prerequisites, is flexible to be taught as an AP-credit earning or non-AP course, and if taught as a full-year course, takes approximately 100-180 class hours to complete.
APĀ® Computer Science A for high school students
If taught as a full-year course, it takes approximately 140 class hours to complete and contains 9 units, including an AP Exam Prep unit.
Code.org offers free professional learning and classroom dashboards for educators wishing to learn and teach any of their free courses (free account necessary).
Open Space is a curriculum curation and collaboration tool powered by INFOhio which empowers educators to build community through groups, access curated collections, search for freely accessible instructional materials, and to curate and share resources that promote innovative and collaborative learning.
