Increased Access to Fetch and ISearch

This summer, INFOhio made updates and enhancements to increase the ease of navigation and look of INFOhio's website. One of these changes was increased access to both Fetch and ISearch. Easier access to Fetch and ISearch is important for students, teachers, and families to be able to find library materials and additional materials licensed by INFOhio.

This summer INFOhio will be hosting a one-day conference, Instructional Materials Matter: Voices from the Field, on August 9, 2022. Sessions include a Keynote from the Ohio Department of Education and additional sessions from Exchange Certified Trainers on integrating quality INFOhio resources, web tools, and professional development into the various educational environments.

INFOhio has a new online, self-paced class added to the K-5 Digital Content Learning Pathway. Take The World Almanac for Kids Elementary class to learn more about this research database for students in grades K-5 that includes topics such as science, social studies, math, the arts, biographies, and more. After successfully completing the final quiz, earn a certificate for two contact hours.

INFOhio Acquires GenYES Student Technology Leadership Platforms and Instructional Content for Ohio Schools

Through the RemotEDx initiative, INFOhio will provide free access to the GenYES student technology leadership platforms and instructional content beginning with the 2022-2023 school year. The platform and resources have been acquired through the RemotEDx initiative and will be accessible through the RemotEDx Exchange website and the INFOhio website. Announcements about additional resources from RemotEDx and INFOhio are coming soon.

Learn About High-Quality Instructional Materials in Online Class

INFOhio has revised and updated the Building Your Digital Curriculum with INFOhio OER Learning Pathway. It has transitioned to High-Quality Instructional Materials for Each Child Learning Pathway and includes a class called High-Quality Instructional Materials to Supplement Your Curriculum. 

In this class, learn more about what makes instructional materials high-quality, including those labeled Open Educational Resources (OER). Participants will learn why instructional materials matter and where to find high-quality instructional materials to supplement curricula. The class includes a focus on curriculum literacy and the use of the Ohio Curriculum Support Guide. Earn a certificate for 5 contact hours after successfully completing the final quiz.
