Based on feedback from INFOhio's Users Council, a change is coming to improve the display of the ISearch filters (also known as facets or limiters) in early January 2025.
Currently, the filters on the My Library tab in ISearch display in an expanded view. Depending on the search terms used, this can cause the filters to extend down the page below the list of available items.
To improve the user experience, the Users Council, with additional input from their peers, approved an enhancement that will display the filters as "closed" by default. This change will help students focus on their search results by keeping all filter headings visible without excessive scrolling.
Students can easily exapand any filter by clicking its heading to view possible options.
The Users Council gathers feedback from peers that results in improved INFOhio products and services to support student achievement. Users Council representatives are selected by their ITC each spring. Each ITC may have up to 11 representatives serving on the Users Council during a term.
