INFOhio's most recent purchases with funding from Future Forward Ohio include more than 100 Spanish titles from Capstone, more than 80 phonics titles, more than 20 bilingual (Spanish/English) titles, more than 30 STEM titles from Gale, and more than 200 professional learning titles and student-facing eBooks about science and technology from EBSCO. These eBooks are simultaneous access and multi-use, making it easier for students to read and watch what they want—and making it easier for educators to use with every student in their classroom.
These newly purchased eBooks can be found in Educator Tools, the student eBook & video collections, and in ISearch.
Each student eBook & video collection has been carefully curated to ensure the titles are appropriate for each grade level range. To browse the student collections, click the age or grade band button from the INFOhio homepage and look for the eBooks & Videos icon. The links to each of these collections are:
Educators can also find purchased eBooks in Educator Tools. Search by keyword or use filters to find instructional materials. Create a favorites list to save the instructional materials for later. After items are marked as favorites in Educator Tools, click the heart button next to the search bar to see the list.
This list can be sent to an email address or copy the URL to come back to it later.
Spanish Titles in Capstone
More than 100 Spanish titles have been purchased and added to the Capstone collection. To find the Spanish titles go to Capstone Interactive eBooks. Click the Spanish category.
Capstone Interactive eBooks have engaging photos and an easy-to-navigate platform. The read-aloud feature can be turned on or off.
Phonics and STEM Titles from Gale
More than 80 phonics titles have been selected and purchased from Gale. These titles feature initial letter sounds, blends, and word families. To find the phonics titles from Gale, go to Educator Tools. Filter your results by Grade Level: PreK and Source: Gale. These titles can also be found in the Ages 3-5 eBooks & Videos, Grades K-5 eBooks & Videos, and ISearch.
This is an eBook on the word family ING, My Phonics Words: The Sound of ING.
STEM series were also purchased from Gale. Series include Powered Up! A STEM Approach to Energy Sources, Real-World STEM, STEM in our World, STEM in the Greatest Sports Events, STEM projects in Minecraft, and Superwomen in STEM. To find these series, do a keyword search for the series title in Educator Tools.

EBSCO eBooks can be found in every student collection, ISearch, and Educator Tools. To browse all of the EBSCO titles go to Educator Tools and limit the results to Source: EBSCO.

Sarah Mowery is a Professional Instructional Specialist with INFOhio. She has worked in education for 16 years as a school librarian and technology coach in elementary and middle school settings. She earned a BA in Sociology from Bowling Green State University and an MLS with a specialization in PK-12 schools from East Carolina University.
